About Future Workshops

For any individual to succeed in the business of landscape photography, beyond God's will, their must be adequate knowledge and understanding gained in 3 areas, like 3 legs to a stool.

The 1st area or leg of understanding comes from the development of one's imagination or creative faculties and being able to distill and abstract the essence of any visual stimulus. If one can articulate their emotions and feelings to a scene and further be able to discern the specific reasons for those emotions then this individual is now able to take the tool or craft of photography to clearly express his or her heart response to what originally motivated the desire to make the photograph.

This 2nd area or leg called craft must be learned and practiced to the point of becoming a subconcious act or effort. This 2nd area of knowledge of technique, once mastered, will then allow you to have the freedom to be truly expressive and to the benefit of others who will look and respond to the image you crafted.
If you become proficient in these first two areas of creativity and craft and your images are never shared with anyone then what good will ever come from this? No one benefits, certainly not others, not even yourself and not even God receives any glory or credit.
This is why the 3rd area or leg of understanding becomes so important. This is the area of marketing (or Promotion) and sales. The business side of art is vital in the bigger picture of communicating the things you value most in life, as well as allowing the business to continue and keeping you doing what you enjoy most.

Look out if you are not photographing what you care about.
The workshops that Buck is planning for this next season will encompass the training in the three areas of creativity, craft and marketing, and will utilize the resources which exist today in thinking, optics, films, digital technology, color management from conception to finished print, as well as using the internet to reach a world-wide market base.
Please add your name to our  mailing list  if you want any specific details or notification of the future workshops. Also indicate if you desire one-on-one time with Buck to focus on exactly what your needs or desires are. Locations, dates, and fees for these sessions will be appropriately addressed when sufficient interest is shown.
We look forward to hearing from all our fellow photographers and will do everything we possibly can to help you achieve your goals.
